Can one be to "picky"?

Some people may have expectations as to what they want in a partner. I would like someone who shares common likes, goals, aspirations and dreams aside from other things. I wouldn't necessarily say that I am picky. I do have expectations since I have been in a long relationship and know more about myself today. What do you think???
