I have always thought that communication is the best way to solve any conflict. I don't like to leave problems unresolved, going to bed angry and pretending like the issue was resolved. I need to settle the problem before I do anything else. Ignoring the problem and letting ill feelings only cause a bigger problem in the end. But if you are with someone who likes to cool off or time to think, it may be challenging.
Egos can be something that get in the way. Not knowing when you to admit when one is wrong or when it's necessary to say sorry can make rip a relationship apart.
I have never liked going to bed angry because I will have a restless night and too much time to think.
